Restaurants near State Game Lands Number

We always feel like we come home when we eat at The Tavern. I actually lived in the apartments above in the 80’s and Pat was my landlord. The new Tavern has a different feel but the same dedication in their wait staff. Mikayla was superb and honest. She also effectively, and to our benefit, troubleshooted when the bottle of wine we ordered was not available. The scallop entree was very good. A solid portion if you are not too hungry. The Osso Bucco is beyond delicious and beyond filling and a show stopper both in presentation and in taste. While they do not take reservations on football weekends, it is worth the wait.

Everything was perfect for celebrating our wedding anniversary. The service was impeccable, as our waiter couldn’t be more attentive or helpful. We both ordered the Fisherman’s Risotto entree and it was simply delicious - seafood/fish in every bite. A definite place to return to again and again.

Felicity was a wonderful wait staff and worked hard to make sure our dinner was lovely. She had a personal touch to her attentive style. What a gem. Several of us had the salmon and it was quite tasty. The wine selection is limited but I believe will increase. I truly wish the NLI and specifically Lionne much success. Standardize the dishes served and the service offered and it will be fantastic! We frequent the NLI so you have us sold already

Very accommodating and good food. We have eaten several times when we come up to PSU. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful dinner before our High School football game. Our server was very friendly and efficient. I asked to substitute Spaghetti Squash for pasta with my chicken parm and it was delicious! The salad was fresh and it was nice that it was included in the meal. We look forward to returning.
