Restaurants near Star of The West Public Use Area

A hidden gem that I wished we had found earlier in our vacation. My husband had the Lasagna, and I had the Badly Cut Seafood pasta (they make their own flat pasta and the badly cut pieces are used in this dish - a great way of not letting things go to waste) with red sauce. Everything was delicious. For dessert, we had the special - Amber Crème Brûlée - which was absolutely scrumptious.

Our server was attentive. The streaks were cooked to perfection but a little more salty than I prefer. We had the mashed potatoes and grilled carrots which were very tasty. No issues with our martinis.

Food and service were great. We would definitely return. Had 5 oz filet and strip steak Oscar. Our only issue was the table. we did make a reservation for two and they put us at the tiniest two-top table against a wall. That was not enjoyable. If we had just walked in without making reservations days in advance, I would understand. However, we did, and we were sat at a bad table. We should have asked for something else but thought, maybe they are booked and all of the open four-tops are booked for bigger parties. They sat two people in one of the nearby 4-tops 15 minutes after we arrived. So, tell your hostess to hold back the worst table for those who don’t make reservations. either get larger 2-tops or just don’t have tables slammed against the wall. I won’t hesitate to ask for a different table if we go again.

We loved, loved the food. The waiter and staff were impeccable. My only issue was the noise level. Not sure where the noise was coming from but it sounded like we were near the Sports Book area where there was cheering. But it won’t deter us from coming back to enjoy the view, the food and staff.

My wife and I came for the seafood buffet. It was delicious, from oysters to cheesecake. The atmosphere in the old historic building was a plus. We recommend the Arlington!
