Built in the 1800 as a very modest Bajan home, Dis Ole House is now living its best life hosting people to take part in our wonderful island’s culinary flavors. We offer a very stark contrast to the much grander Sam Lord's Castle at whose gates we are neatly nestled. We provoke curiosity and experiences where little touches like our enamel tableware will make any Bajan smile with yesteryear nostalgia. The area itself is nostalgic; Sam Lord himself must have roamed here, right? We’re proud promoters of all “tings” Bajan, celebrating our ancestors, history, and culture. Come drink a rum punch (or two--who are we to judge?) and try our very traditional dishes: cutters, fish cakes, roast breadfruit, or our national dish, Cou Cou & Flying Fish.     Enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day /birthday lunch at Deia. I would say the menu options could've been more diverse especially for people with allergies. It also would've been nice if they acknowledged my mum's birthday in some ways like other places do because I tlld them that was what we were celebrating. Overall, I would give it 7 out of 10.

    Hands down, the best meal my wife and I have had since arriving on the island! Dis Ole House is a hidden gem that captures the true spirit of Barbados—not just through its warm atmosphere but with every bite. I had the lamb with mashed potatoes and carrots—perfectly seasoned and tender. My wife couldn't stop raving about the catch of the day (barracuda), paired with flavorful rice and sweet plantains. To top it all off, we were blessed with the sounds of live music that made the evening unforgettable. If you're in Barbados, don't miss this spot—it’s soul food with an island heartbeat.
