- LLuluSt. Louis •6 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoGreat food and service. Started with the chicken wings as an appetizer, which were flavorful. Our group had the dip sandwich, swordfish, baked clams, and flank steak. All of which were delicious. Portion size was good. Appreciated our server, Lydia, who recognized that two of our party were not drinking alcohol and brought non-alcoholic Prosecco for us as we were celebrating a birthday. Attention to detail goes a long way!More infoOlive + OakPrice: Expensive• American• St. Louis•4.8

We were super impressed with the lady who cleared our table. She told us how she learned English talking to customers! Welcome to America! The restaurant itself is lovely, with great ambiance, muted lighting, dark woods and beautiful cut glass windows separating the lovely rooms. The wine list was very good. I feel like I should have tried one of the Italian wines, but I saw my favorite Belle Glos pinot noir and couldn't resist. The food was spectacular. While I am not so sure about their claim to inventing fried ravioli, the fried ravioli tasted very good. The star of the dinner was the seafood! We shared the two seafood specials, a sea bass over risotto was buttery and melt in your mouth. The shrimp and lobster spaghetti was equally as spectacular, adding quite a bit of heat to a wine and butter sauce. The flavors were spot on. I was so disappointed that I didn't save room for dessert, but will remember next time. I don't get to St. Louis often, but I now have a favorite place. This may even be my new favorite restaurant anywhere!More infoCharlie Gitto's 'On the Hill'Price: Expensive• Italian• The Hill•4.8
- JJonathanSt. Louis •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoGreat food, drinks, and service. We split the goat cheese tart and escargot. Never had snails but the garlic butter sauce made them taste like lobster bites. I had a namesake old fashioned and my wife had a house cocktail based on pear brandy. All reasonable priced. The entrees were braised beef and cassoulet. The best pot roast I’ve ever had in life, but the cassoulet wasn’t great compared to the rest of the food. The waitress tried to warn my wife, but alas, next time we’ll get the chicken or fish with along with the braised beef.More infoBrasserie by NichePrice: Moderate• French• St. Louis•4.8
