We got the exact experience we hoped for. Such a welcome addition to Patchogue. We can’t wait to go back!

Nick loved the short ribs, Elisabeth really enjoyed the salmon and French onion soup, and I really liked the lobster roll and salad.

This is an interesting place. We went for dinner before a play at the Gateway theater. The place was bustling and had patrons of all ages. We had the French Onion soup and Shishito Pepper appetizers, both of which were very tasty. For dinner, my husband had the Arroz Con Pollo and I had the Marinated Skirt Steak; he had the better dish, though he said it could've had more seasoning. We didn't have any dessert. The service was good, albeit very casual. (I wasn't always sure who were the servers and who were guests.) I will say that it was VERY loud!! I would not recommend it for those who really want to have a nice conversation. Then again, it could've been the room we were in, which had a tiled floor, stone walls, and a paneled ceiling. Overall, we did enjoy it and will go back again, though we'll ask to sit in the other room, as that one might be a bit quieter.

We dine at Ruta about every couple of weeks and have never been disappointed. It can get a bit loud at times but the outside dining is a an alternative. The service and food are very good.

Great place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Food is fantastic. Wait staff friendly & knowledgeable about the menu and the atmosphere is the perfect energy for a modern Italian restaurant. A truly fulfilling experience.
