The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

We make British food with a classic or modern slant. We source our ingredients from the local fields, woodlands and waters. Enjoyed a really lovely lunch at the George today. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent (thank you Miguel!). The whole place has a really nice vibe.

Lovely wine bar on Tenterden high street, service was faultless; drinks were long; the little snack freebies a nice touch as was the live jazz band who played a 2hr+ set! a chilled atmosphere to enjoy some great live music on your own comfortable table.

A lovely spot at the end of the high street with a peaceful garden for sunny days. Food was delicious and fresh, and the service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
