The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Presentation of all of our appetizers and entrees was picture perfect. Taste was wonderful. The Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and the roasted artichoke hearts were a real treat. It is always worth my 16 mile drive to enjoy my meal at Baldamar.

Another excellent dinner at Oceanaire. As usual I had a special - halibut with carmelized onion and blue cheese. Just excellent. Another guest had the same and another the dynamite topping - spicy- just great. The Caesars were also good. Love this place - a birthday tradition.

We go a few times a year, love the wide menu and especially the attention to gluten free and vegetarian items, makes it easy to satisfy a family of 6. Food is solid, service is generally good but have had some ups and downs with our visits.
