Great place great food and great vibe Service was excellent

What a nice surprise! A last minute thought led to this great experience! First of all, there was a singer/guitarist playing ( Christiaan Padavan- American Idol )who was fantastic and positively contributed to the ambiance of the evening. We started with the special- spicy tuna crispy rice. Compliments to the chef for a version that is far superior to any I’ve ever tasted!! Aside from that, it’s really nice to have a starch and a side included in the steak order. We loved our meal, and will definitely recommend and return!

On this Monday night the restaurant was almost empty. Our party of 4 sat at a table which, as the evening progressed, got increasingly wobbly. The chairs were lightweight (I comment on this only because one person in our party has trouble physically getting up from a seated position and the wobbly table and lightweight chairs did not help - certainly just a personal issue.) Two of us enjoyed the chicken parmigiana and really liked it a lot. One of us had a special that night of halibut, which was very good. (He ate it in record time, so maybe it wasn't the largest of portions.) I enjoyed the salmon with roasted potatoes and sauteed spinach. Food was very good. The chardonnay and carbernet wines were very good, although expensive at $19 a glass. All around, a very nice spot, very good service, very good food.

Neighborhood gem - lots of locals (we were not) and reminded me of the taverns/bars of the 70's/80's. We felt very comfortable there.

Very enjoyable. Food is very creative. Fine dining in Hampton Bay. Lovely country setting.
