1899 is a fine place to catch dinner on or near the NAU campus. The experience is intended to be a finer dining experience than most places in Flagstaff and I think they accomplish it. The menu is diverse and offers good alternatives or vegetarians and vegans. The restaurant is open concept, so the noise level can be a bit much, but otherwise it is a good place to eat.

The food was mediocre. The cook was very new and wasn’t very experienced. The food was over cook and over seasoned. Not ur traditional hibachi that’s for sure. The sushi was ok but not the kind of experience I was expecting for the price we paid.

We really loved it. Will be back. Excellent food. Cool vibe
