We've been here several times for a casual lunch or dinner, but this was a friend's birthday celebration. Annie was very welcoming and looked after us very well all evening. The food is always good here and this was no exception. Our friends had a great night and then were shown around by Annie. I hadn't really explored the barn and other rooms before. Such a great place!

We went for a my birthday dinner. The setting is stunning, the view over the marshes is really lovely. We started with some sourdough and whipped butter while we were waiting for our food. Unfortunately it wasn’t quite to our taste, the butter was a little tasteless and it didn’t work well with the bread which was a little on the sour side for my liking (I’m a baker by profession), but this is just personal taste rather than a fault with the bread itself. We went for pork sausages and fish and chips for the kids. Portions were generous. I opted to for the grilled seafood and my partner the pork chop. Both were nice but not outstanding and the seafood dish cost almost £35. Service was good and the waiter spotted that the octopus was missing from my dish before I did which was dealt with and much appreciated. If we were to visit again I think I’d been keen to dine outside and take more advantage of the lovely views.

We had a lovely afternoon sitting on the veranda eating out lunch taking in the views .Food and service were excellent and we will definitely be back again .

The food was amazing. The choice of vegetables was wonderful, I love my veg. Hubby thought the stuffing was great, likened it to what I cook him home. The beef was cooked to perfection. Couldn’t fault any of it. Hopefully will visit again.
