Restaurants near San Jose Convention Center

Scott's is a well known and established popular restaurant in downtown San Jose. Always a good value. Ideal for occasional dining but special events too

Lawrence was FANTASTIC! We had the best food and service and will absolutely be back. Classy but relaxed, cocktails and food was top notch!

My friend and I enjoyed the music from the antique music boxes and player pianos in the background of our dinner, It was fun to see all the old sheet music and posters on the walls. Her sea bass was fabulous. The meat in my beef bourguignon was a bit tough so I wasn't as happy with my main dish. Everything was reasonably priced. The table next to us had profiteroles - which looked good but we needed to get to our play next door. It's a great place to go before attending something at The Stage theater.

Our experience was pretty good. Our waiter was excellent. We were running late (we were delayed), and he paced the dinner perfectly so that we made it to the play on time. The food was good, and the portions generous. Two minor complaints: the restaurant now charges for bread, and the pepper for the salad is not offered. However, a small pepper mill was on the table, but it ground the pepper into too finely. Not cool for a restaurant like Il Forniao.

Service and food were outstanding for our party of 14. I was surprised though at how slowly the food arrive. And for those of us who ordered the fish tacos, the food arrived another 45 minutes afterwards. That was super frustrating tod and disappointing.
