We love this pub. The atmosphere, friendly staff and good food are a constant draw to book again.

We were immediately seated at a lovely table overlooking the river. The menu is extensive—both overwhelming and novel—so we chose the tapas platter for the whole table (three of us). The beer and wine list had interesting and unusual offerings. Service was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very attentive—clearly a young team keen to impress. All the tapas items were delicious and well prepared. The chef’s talent shines through in the variety and finesse of each dish. The dessert menu, in contrast, was simple—just three choices: chocolate mousse, crème brûlée, and lemon posset. We all had the posset and found it outstanding. While not inexpensive, the meal offered excellent value and was thoroughly enjoyed. This restaurant clearly aims to impress and bring a touch of sophistication to the food scene in this county town.

Fantastic food, we had the set menu at £48, the quality of each course was great, hot, very tasty and certainly good value, the service was quick and the staff were very polite, well done we will be back

Me and my partner enjoyed our afternoon in the cornhill watching the magic weekend, we arrived a bit early and were welcomed by the team on the bar, the food was great value , we had the small plates 5 for 10.99 Would definitely recommend
