5 star classic old school Italian fine dining restaurant. Nothing is short of excellent. The food, service, management and ambience all 5 stars! As a restaurant owner, myself, It is rare that I am wowed. We do not live in the area but my daughter loves it so much that she’ll plan shopping trips in the greater DC area just so she can go there. They are not a small restaurant but they’re definitely not a large, either. I recommend that you make reservations and you make them way ahead of time. We had an early reservation on a Friday night, 9/13/24. Unfortunately, we were stuck in traffic and delayed for over an hour. I called the restaurant. They were very nice and accommodating and held our reservation despite the fact that they were jampacked. From start to finish all 5 Stars! *The AGM is from Richmond VA. I recently dined at Nobu to celebrate my birthday, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set a sophisticated yet welcoming tone. The food was, of course, exceptional—each dish was a delightful fusion of flavors, beautifully presented and executed to perfection. A special shoutout to our waiter, Terry, who truly made the evening extraordinary. Terry's service was nothing short of outstanding. He was attentive without being intrusive. His knowledge of the menu and genuine enthusiasm for the food elevated our dining experience. It was clear that Terry takes great pride in his work. I celebrate my birthday with Nobu every year, as part of a traditional dinner with my closest friends and it never disappoint.

Always excellent, a warm welcome from the staff and a very enjoyable atmosphere. One of our very favorite places. La Chaumière never disappoints. Don't miss the grand marnier souffle for dessert!

Music and the aroma of Ethiopian dishes greeted us almost as warmly as the staff. The shrimp tibs are exquisite which are complemented by the sambusa. All the vegetables are fresh as is the injera. Of course this resturant provides vast options for vegetarian dinning and Ethiopian drinks. The love for people and good food that we feel emanating from the beautiful staff, keeps us coming back.

Pretty setting for our 1 PM lunch - surprised it was a brunch menu but there were still great choices for all 5 of us. Good, appropriately attentive service. Everything was tasty. But, $235 before tip with only soft drinks, coffee and bottled water?
