The Mooring was outstanding. The food was amazing, and the service staff was incredibly friendly. We had someone with a gluten allergy in our party and The Mooring was very attentive to their needs. The prices seem fair for the ambience and quality of the menu. Our only complaint was that the drinks we ordered seemed nothing like what they were described as on the menu, but that's somewhat of a non-issue compared to how wonderful everything else was.

I have been to Jo's about 5 times in the last few years. This time was for Anniversary dinner with my wife. Once again, we had a great meal. I would say this is a very unique atmosphere in Newport. It's blend of casual but not grungy, up scale but not elitist. It's a place where people come in clean and no one is second class. The beef carpaccio was perfect. In fact a little thicker than shaved with a nice amount of salt and bitter to compliment it. My wife started with the calamari which was perfect and there were enough to take home for a midnight snack. She finished with a salad with Salmon (perfectly cooked) and my pork chop was medium well to my liking and still tender. The bacon bourbon jam was plentiful and complimented my side of cheddar mashed and shaved veggies. We also had one really good cocktail and one great cocktail with creme brulee that had a crunchy sweet and NOT Burnt crust to compliment the smooth flavorful creme. We will be back again. Over the last few years Jo's has proven themselves consistent and reliable for a great meal and atmosphere! Keep up the great work!

We had an early dinner on a week night so it was not busy. Great location on the wharf and our server was friendly and efficient. The lobster tagliatelle was fantastic, the halibut special was great and the warm lobster roll was loaded and delicious - my son says it’s the best he’s had. The only issue was the “drunken sailor” whiskey special cocktail- it was unbalanced and so sour I could not finish it

Your hostess was awesome! So that was a really nice first impression! Our server Scott was amazing! Very attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We have eaten here a few years ago and was just as impressed as we were today for our lunch after the flower show. I would highly recommend coming here and we will definitely be coming back in the near future! Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience.
