Restaurants near Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens

My company does their holiday dinner every year @ 555. We love the ambiance, the food and the service. This year Lisa our server was just a delight. She was friendly, personable and very attentive. We enjoyed our dining experience and Lisa was a big part of that. 555 is a fine dining establishment and the holiday vibe is always enjoyable. I would love it if ownership would enforce a dress code during dinner time. Specifically with respect to sports caps. My party, the staff as well as 90% of the diners dressed appropriately.. while 4 classless individuals decided that wearing a ball cap was appropriate. It bothers me to see it and I find it quite disrespectful to such a fine restaurant. I hope that ownership sees this message and makes a move. It’s the right call. Beautiful interior and a fun restaurant with delicious tapas and luscious cocktails.

4 of us dined for a holiday happy hour celebration in the enclosed patio. The hostess and server provided exceptional service, accommodating our changing requests. The glass enclosed patio provided us a front row seat to a spectacular sunset. While food presentation was outstanding I was underimpressed with the taste. The "tempura" squash blossoms were simply crusted and fried. The BBQ heirloom carrots were cooked quite nicely, but their natural flavor was overwhelmed by spices. I thought the spicy yellowfin tuna was rather bland. The best tasting item we had was the standard pizza, which was excellent. Our two deserts, the blueberry cheesecake and apple tart were also very good (for my taste). The cheesecake had a nice texture to it and the tart, while quite good, did seem to have a high ratio of dough to fruit. There wasn't anything wrong or bad with the food, it just did not live up to the hype. I'm glad we chose items from the happy hour as I would have been disappointed to pay full price for what we had. Overall, we enjoyed our get together and would come again, especially for happy hour.

Come here for brunch often and it is always a pleasure. We always go with an outside table as the noise level inside can get really loud inside when the bands are playing and we like to talk😊. The menu changes frequently and the food is always good. The service is consistently outstanding. The ambiance is what brings us back. Just the whole experience never disappoints.
