Mushrooms are the heart of what we do at the Joel Palmer House. We have always endeavored to obtain seasonal and local ingredients and we use many locally produced greens, herbs, and vegetables, some of which come from our own culinary garden. We are frequently inspired by ingredients found in the cuisines of France, China, Thailand, Poland and India, so we call our cooking "freestyle." Our dishes pair well the celebrated wines of Oregon, especially Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Our extensive, Oregon-focused wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Of special note, The Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oregon Historic Register. Built in 1857, the house is Dayton's oldest standing structure. When weather permits, guests can enjoy their dinner on our outdoor patio, soaking in the last rays of sunshine in the heart of Oregon Wine Country.

Visit us on Ribbon Ridge, where we have something for everyone!At Trisaetum Winery, we specialize in Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sparkling Wines. Daily, we offer a selection of flights, each with five wines you can enjoy in our art gallery tasting room or out on our covered patio. The tasting fee is $45-50 per person and fees are waived with a minimum purchase.We are also home to Brixeur Spirits, which was started by the team at Trisaetum in 2020.     Great experience with food and staff. The food coming off this particular cook line is creative and fluid. These people are not responding to industry trends in their plated expressions.     We love Cuvée. A real gem in Oregon wine country. Dinner is relaxed and the service is always excellent. Perfect place for dinner after wine tasting. The boeuf bourguignon so flavorful and so tender. Make sure to ask for the day’s specials.

    There isn’t a more wonderful experience than dining at Rosmarino, especially for their 5 course meal! Dario brings such lively enthusiasm and energy to the evening - we absolutely adore him. From the moment you walk through the door, it feels like you are part of the family. The food is heavenly, perfectly wine paired. We love the inviting and cozy atmosphere of the heated patio. Grazie!

    It was our second time here. The butter lettuce and beet salad was delicious. The escargot was good, we are used to a little more flavor, but good. Entree’s were pretty good-salmon and double thick pork chop. We didn’t care for the pecan pie, not traditional and two pieces for one order is a bit much. Overall, we will go back. The service is wonderful and it’s a quaint place.

    The team at Joel Palmer House overdelivers every time we eat there—attention to detail, authentic service commitment, and the food—yes, the food. We always leave wondering how they execute on all cylinders as a small family-run operation. Anyway, you can't go wrong unless you have this wine-country experience.
