It all began with a love story and a dream. Linwood, a chef, and Ellen, a reporter, met 36 years ago in a restaurant of course! They married and began to envision that someday they would open a restaurant of their own. The restaurant’s first business plan was written at their dining room table on an electric typewriter. In 1988 Linwoods opened its doors, and it has been a labour of love for more than thirty years. Linwoods’ cuisine consists of the freshest ingredients, and inventive preparation. We sat on the covered patio and it was very quiet out there. There was a special happy hour menu out there as well. We ended up ordering the price fix option and it was the perfect amount of food. The filet and shrimp was perfectly seasoned. The garlic mashed potatoes were decadent.

Excellent meal as always. It’s was nice when the manager (Mordicai) stopped by to see how we were doing. The steak as outstanding!

Beautiful restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the arugula salad and the Rotolo. Garlic bread outstanding. And the bar made a fabulous Cosmo. Will definitely return.
