Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Our menu is a mixture of familiar Pittsburgh foods (think pierogies, hamburgers, French fries) and French bistro classics (beef tartare, raclette, mussels), and seasonal classics that come and go throughout the year. We put care into our vegetarian dishes too, including making our own tempeh, falafel, and veggie patties from scratch. Menu items change frequently--usually every day--and reflect many long-standing relationships we have with farms and breweries in our region. In addition to reservations, we also have a thirty seat bar that is first come, first serve. We don’t know exactly how old the bar is, but it’s at least seventy years old (probably older) and very cozy. Our friendly bartenders are here to make something you like.

The hostess graciously allowed us to secure the booth in the bar area which included moving a table and some chairs for our group of 6. The service was excellent, from our main waiter to the others who presented the food. We all immensely enjoyed our drinks and food. Eleven provides a lovely dining experience with excellent qualities of service and food.

We went for a birthday celebration and the food was on point. We had spinach and artichoke dip for our app, it was maybe the best I've ever had. Dinner was very good, I had the salmon. They surprised us with a happy birthday Creme Brule to celebrate the birthday. It was a nice surprise and a great atmosphere.

We enjoyed a superb lunch at the Grand Concourse! We were seated in the room that has the best view of the bridge and the city and we saw several trains go by. The food was fresh and delicious and the portions were just right. Great selection of “mocktails “ that was greatly appreciated. Service was good and the restaurant was quite accommodating with our 7 month old baby. All in all I would highly recommend.
