Wine Bar | San Jose,

"This is a great place for wine and a light meal before a show at SAP. We went on a Sunday night, wasn’t too crowded. Although they only seemed to have two people working, the service was great. We got our wine quickly (most important) and the food came in short order after that. I’ll definitely go back."See more

"Because it was such a hot day, I reserved an outside table. Unfortunately, there were a few show offs revving their cars and squealing tires. For me, this was not a problem, but it may be for others. The food was excellent, the service was great, and our waitress was very professional and personable. If you are craving a burger, which we were, I would highly recommend the traditional one. This was my first time at the Firehouse No. 1 Gastropub, and I will definitely come back! Reservations are very advisable."See more

"Yearned for some Mexican and this place fit the task. Got a few of the appetizers to share. The avocado tacos was a surprise winner. Next were the sopes and covering the end was the chorizo mac and cheese. Service was responsive and polite. It was a FRI so the place was pretty lively with bike taxis blaring music while passing by."See more

"Farmers Union upped the game this time. We had a lovely table for our party of 7 just a bit away from everyone in a tiny alcove. It was perfect for our birthday celebration and the waitress was great. Corkage is reasonable so we brought a few bottles too."See more

Brazilian Steakhouse | San Jose,

"First time to Taurinus and it was interesting, in a good way. We got there when it opened so we got everything really fresh. They has a great salad bar collection which is great for breaking up the tons of cuts of meats they bring around. I really enjoyed the mango salad and greek style salad that helped get your taste buds back to life after eating meat after meat. The favorites from our visit were the meat layered with cheese, the bacon wrapped chicken, and the beef rib. I warn all to only get 1 piece of the first few small intro meats. I agree to skip the sausage if you can. They came out with a few meats that we sadly didn't try since we were stuffed. A big favorite was the grilled pineapple that was brought to cleanse your pallet and help digestion. We ended with a surprise birthday ice cream with and their cheesecake with Acai sauce (delicious). Then they sang happy birthday in Brazilian! Great experience and will gladly come here again!"See more
