Restaurants near Oswego Park

I was traveling alone for a job interview and wanted to enjoy a great meal at the end of my day. The food and drink were fantastic. I had 2 amazing appetizers for “dinner”—scallop crudo in such an amazing broth/sauce that I scooped up every last drop with my spoon and snap peas in a rich and filling puree, plus a delicious cocktail. The vibe was casual and welcoming, a nice buzz that was still comfortable for conversation. Only way to make the meal better was the service—when sitting alone at the bar one needs a little conversation and extra attentiveness and that was lacking. Overall a wonderful meal and I’d love to come back with my husband or friends.

As usual, Tavern did not disappoint! New flavors and yummy dishes, plus outdoor seating on a summer like night…perfection!!!

Enjoyable experience, nice staff, and surprisingly pleasant outdoor space in the back.

The food is always delicious, especially the fried chicken and roasted cauliflower. Oh, and do not forget one of the two, hummus with fresh hot pita bread. Will be back next week!
