Restaurants near Old Warren County Courthouse Complex

A beautiful location and setting for a first rate special dinner. We enjoyed our first time at Erlowest. We started one special appetizer and one house standard: Sauteed Fiddlehead Ferns with Sweet Potato Gnocci and wonderful Mussels in a lovely creamy sauce over risotto. We then had an appetizer-size order of quail served over spaghetti squash for my wife and slow-braised short ribs served pver mashed potatoes and roasted carrots with red curry sauce and bathed with rosemary demiglace. For dessert we shared a truly tasty Raspberry-Peach "cobbler" which was really a Crisp...nice crunchy crumb topping, not the traditional cobbler biscuit topping. No matter...we prefer crisps anyway~

This restaurant owned by the Butters is located in a gorgeous old, well-kept house with a ton of character. The food is sort of French-style (lots of butter!) but they have different dishes from different cultures with creative recipes, making meals you won't find elsewhere. The Moroccan bowls are a staple of the changeable menu and a favorite of mine. The cocktails are righteous and typically generous with the liquor. Dress a bit nicer than you would to go somewhere else, to match the beauty of the space. The owners and chefs are lovely people who support the community and are food to their staff - give them your business!

We had a great experience! Both dinner and hanging out at the fire pit rentals after we're the perfect way to spend the evening! Dinner was excellent, from appetizers to entrees to the sumptuous dessert - everything was impeccable and you could not beat the stunning view of the lake. Highly recommend!

Food was great at right price and the view not only can't be beat, I think it's the best view of any restaurant on the lake.

I really enjoyed my dinner at Charlie's. The seafood risotto was sublime with both large shrimp and sea scallops. The service was attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend.
