The Coffee Club celebrates more than three decades of good food, great service and excellent coffee.Like all good stories, it began with a quest. On a 1989 evening in Brisbane, founders Emmanuel Kokoris and Emmanuel Drivas cruised Brisbane in search of an excellent coffee, but came up empty handed. Inspired by a gap in the market, they formulated a plan to take the world by storm – to create more than just somewhere for people to meet for coffee. A casual, comfortable and affordable experience, yet sophisticated and stylish. The Coffee Club was born, opening its first store in Brisbane that same year.From 1990, new director John Lazarou spearheaded a targeted marketing plan aimed at putting The Coffee Club front and centre for the world to see.     Food was amazing and the cocktails were really nice. However, the restaurant wasn’t really busy but our orders seemed to be getting stuffed up. One of our entrees didn’t come, we said not to worry but then found out they were cooked anyway whilst eating our mains. We were still charged for accepting them! The staff were not attentive, when we went to pay, they were all standing around the kitchen talking. It took a long while for them to even take our orders after we’d all decided. Was disappointing service to go with such amazing food.

    We were visiting Wollongong and we went there twice on Sunday and both times we had a fantastic time The first time was just for a drink in the afternoon then we went back for dinner later that day. The food was fantastic and very well priced plus cocktails were delicious. Highly recommend and we will definitely go back on our next visit to Wollongong.
