It’s the backyard uncles backyard who used to live down South and picked up some sort of barbecue magic that no one else can ever seem to learn. It’s the memories of camping up Brackett Creek in high school with a bit more class and much better booze. It’s the music and the food and the laughter when the sun’s just setting after floating the Madison. It’s the deep happiness of a day spent with the whole family and the bit of rowdiness that happens once the kids have been sent to bed. And thanks to Bourbon, it’s always there and there’s someone else doing the cleanup.

The Club Tavern and Grill was originally The Grantree Restaurant when three men from Conrad, Montana purchased it in 1985. The Felska’s and the Solvie’s came to Bozeman motivated by the prospect of building or buying a Conference Center.They discovered that the Ramada Inn, (hotel, restaurant, and conference center) was in bankruptcy so they purchased the business. Once a dark 70’s style bar and casual dining restaurant, it also featured a fine dining area.In 1999, The Grantree Restaurant was revised and remodeled to give it a more casual Montana feel.In 2008, the Partners decided to change the name and again do a remodel with more of an upscale sport’s bar style hence creating what today is The Club Tavern and Grill, Bozeman’s Upscale Sport’s Bar with 20 TVs, a Casino, Full Bar, and Sports packages.     Phenomenal food. The best in Bozeman and really nice staff. Not a fancy place which is great but the food is 5 star. Among the best coulotte and trout we’ve ever had. And wine very well priced and excellent. a gem.

    The food and service were both very good. I would have given 5 stars for sure but the servers timing was not great and maybe not her fault. We waited 30 minutes for a first cocktail, there were several other long periods of waiting for a next course. Overall though a great night.

    WOW Outstanding this place was great. From the moment we walked in the door to decor was so Montana. The front windows opened to the sites and sounds Main Street below. Inside there are sitting areas with couches,chairs more comfortable than my living room. The bar area is huge with a large selection of beers, wine and top shelf liquors. The dining area is open to the kitchen with local artists works proudly displayed on the walls. The food is amazingly delicious and the staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. This is a must go to place when you come to Bozeman and a place I know I’ll be back to soon .
