The Wine Bar at The Griswold Inn is an extraordinary space in which to enjoy a delicious experience in every respect. It features an innovative tapas menu, inspired "macro" plates, artisanal cheeses and handcrafted desserts. The menu changes periodically to take advantage of all that characterizes a particular season, though there are a few classics that remain on the menu throughout the year, like its very popular Grilled and Carved Bistro Steak, served with white truffle-laced pommes frites, arugula,and red wine jus.     To have the privilege to dine in a 250 yr old Inn is beyond words. It is a beautiful place with wonderful food and service. The ambiance makes you step back in time to Revolutionary War times. This is a must see and must dine place. Essex is the most beautiful city I have visited. I highly recommend a reservation here.

    Always our favorite Italian restaurant! The food is absolutely outstanding and the prices are so reasonable! Every time I go I can’t wait to go back again! It’s approximately a 45 minute drive from home otherwise I would be there every week. Great service too!

    If you want outstanding service- I recommend coming here! They took such great care of our party of 5. Top attention given- amazing wine selection! Jason made sure to chill our wine, and get us set up! The food was fantastic. Super clean and beautiful space. Dessert- get the key lime pie! Our waiter Xenah was fabulous and on it. There was another waiter who took care of of us and was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back. A+ atmosphere, but so much more here with the food and the people.

    My friend and I ordered a two wine flights, French fries and pita bread. Was a great way to kick off the weekend! All of it was delicious! I accidentally left my credit card at the bar. They called me promptly to let me know. Much appreciated!

    Really cute spot for a bite and a beer. Menu is great. Pizza special was a great value! Great girls dinner options. Only note is the toast served with the whipped feta is a bit hard. Served with pita would be much better. Otherwise we greatly enjoyed our dinner! Went back the next week with my family.
