This is my first time visiting this establishment and I didn’t know what to expect besides it is a steak house. It is in older section of New Braunfels, but still a very nice area. I started with the stuffed quail which was okay. I am a sucker for onion soup and I thought it was very tasty. My entree was the bone-in filet (medium rare) with Brussels sprouts. The steak was not cooked properly and sent it back because rare and needed more time cooking, Brussels sprouts were overcooked for my liking. I would go back for another try, I think it is worth it.

Excellent drinks and service in a really cool atmosphere!

The food and service at the Gruene Door has been great every time we have been there, so blessed to have such a fine restaurant in our neighborhood!

As always, Macado's was awesome!! Phenomenal service, great atmosphere, and fantastic food. I highly recommend it specially for a date with your spouse or significant other
