Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history. The creation of the Matinee Performance, the regal guests Shires' hosted, an unsolved murder and other noteworthy events that took place at the original Shires' Gardens, are an inspiration to our program that we look forward to sharing with you.

Dinner and drinks were awesome, but our server, Mya, made this a great evening. She had great insight on the menu, and made recommendations that made our evening memorable.

Sotto was probably one of the top meals of our 21 years of marriage! Definitely the best we’ve had in Cincinnati… And that saying something! The environment is thoroughly engaging, the service and kitchen staff were phenomenal! We opted for the 35 ounce porterhouse… and it was worth every penny and more. We went on the high recommendation of a good friend, who told us that this is one of the best dining experiences in Cincinnati. After we were done, we felt he still under sold the experience!

The food, service and setting were all exceptional. Steaks, brussel sprouts, Mac-n-cheese, oysters and shrimp were outstanding. The service and attention to detail sets Jeff Ruby’s apart from everyone else! Tony, our server, was personable, efficient and made our evening very enjoyable. What topped off our evening to celebrate our son’s school track record, was the Ruby’s Air Jordan cake with its special cart presentation and amazing decadent taste. It was simply amazing and made his evening even more special. Thank you!

Food was impeccable. Even though we were looking up the names of some of the dishes just to be better informed, we nailed it. Our server, Evan I think, was like a computer. He knew something about everything we asked about whether we ordered it or not. If that was an act, he should be in Hollywood. We were seated in a separate room, great lighting, music and ambience. There were 6-7 tables seated and it was very private and quiet. I have heard that it tends to get a bit noisy, but we didn't experience this. We each had a drink, we shared dishes and we were well fed. As we were leaving through the main dining room, it was evident that yes, with so many tables full, there was a hum of conversations and glasses clinking which I thought was pretty cool almost like you'd see in a movie. We will certainly return.

We made reservations at Moerlein Lager House before heading to the Reds game, and I will tell you that we were thrilled with our choice! One of the members of our group has Celiac disease and cannot eat any food that contains gluten. We told this to our server, Jordan, and he was on top of it from the beginning. He actually spoke with the chef to make sure that her meal was prepared properly and was so respectful. The gluten free and vegetarian options are clearly marked on the menu; however, the extra care was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend stopping by before a game or anytime. Try the Southwestern Chicken Farro Protein Bowl, it was delicious!
