- LLauraColumbus •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoMy husband and I booked this before heading to Edinburgh. It did not disappoint! We shared the small plate of battered cod goujons, while I had the oysters with scotch bonnet and whiskey hot sauce. Amazing! Then he chose the chicken larger plate and I had the sea trout. Both were just as fabulous as the small plates. We finished off with the chocolate cremeux. While the food and wine were great, our server was also attentive and helpful in making selections. Highly recommend!More infoAngels with BagpipesPrice: Expensive• Scottish• Old Town•4.6
- FFionaEdinburgh/Midlothian •12 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoVery tasty lunch at Cold Townhouse. We booked the terrace as the sun was shining. View of the terrace slightly obscured by tattoo seating, which did not detract from experience. Staff were extremely friendly & courteous. Service was very good. I had chicken caesar salad which was extremely tasty. My husband had The Grange pizza, which was demolished with gusto. Excellent lunch & great venue for a sunny day.More infoCold Town HousePrice: Moderate• Brewery• Edinburgh•4.4
- SSuePhiladelphia County •117 reviews4.0Dined 5 days agoThe Coquilles St Jacque scallops (3of them) were small but perfect. They came on a bed of mashed potatoes, which was unusual. The French onion soup was very flavorful with a small amount of cheese on the 3 slices of baguette on top, not super-thick cheese like in US. The lamb was a generous portion of fork-tender meat. Not thrilled with the beef bourguignon. It had a lot of tender beef, but with carrots, no mushrooms, and tasted like standard beef stew.More infoLe BistrotPrice: Moderate• French• Edinburgh•4.6
