We came to Hudson and Essex for dinner. We had every intention of ordering entrées, but after we received our appetizer the *small* charcuterie board, we instantly knew that we weren’t going to be able to finish that and entrées. So my husband and I split the small charcuterie board and each had a cocktail. It was lovely. Very good service!

First the menu posted on Open Table is outdated. We had our hearts set on the Basil roll and the Peking duck. They don’t have either one anymore. We placed an order for the Bon Bon appetizer (chicken) and our waiter forgot to place the appetizer order. My wife had the mango grouper and it was excellent! I had the Pad Thai, it was supposed to be spicy per the menu, but was actually pretty bland. After our dinner the waiter apologized and brought two scoops of ice cream at no cost to make up for the appetizer. We’ve eaten here before and it was excellent, I think we just hit a busy night that had our waiter a little flustered.

Celebrated my birthday with the love of my life. Wonderful time. Edward our waiter made us feel special and did a great job. Salmon was a little over broiled for our taste. Excellent complimentary dessert at Edwards suggestion.

Fantastic evening! We loved talking to the owners to start off the evening. The ambiance and staff were wonderful, but the food even more impressive. We will definitely be back. Go hungry!
