Restaurants near Montrose Centre Shopping Center

Had pork chop served with with a pesto and blue cheese. I usually don’t order pork chops at restaurants but highly recommend ordering this. It was delicious!!

The atmosphere, customer service, and cost was excellent. I truly appreciated the special attention to service. The whole staff was welcoming and accommodating.

Vaccaro's is our special occasion place. This was our 49th anniversary and like everything about the evening. Wife had the salmon primavera, and I had the chicken alfredo. Both were very good. We preceded the entrees with a bowl of pumpkin bisque, it was an 11 out of 10. We split a large apple goat cheese salad. (Can't imagine someone ordering a full one and eating dinner after. The split was large enough for each of us). Our server Delaney was engaging, and Raphael the owner stopped by the table to congratulate us on our special day. They even comped us dessert, which we could only eat half of. We also got boxes to go of each of our entrees, and there's enough left over to be our dinner tonight. Our server was unfamiliar with the two red wines we were considering, and so she got Raphael's thoughts, and it was a good choice. (I can't blame the server for not being familiar with the wine. Frankly, with so many choices on their wine list I don't know how even Raphael keeps them straight in terms of dry, fruity, etc.). In any event, Vaccaro's came through again for us.

We chose Ken Stewart's Lodge to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance was log-cabin cozy, with a fireplace brightly adding warmth to the dining room. Our server, Madalyn was superb. She was cordial, very attentive and responsive. She was unobtrusive yet available for any need we had. My guests enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert. The double bone pork chop was the best my friend had ever eaten she said. My other guest had a sea food platter that she really enjoyed. Sadly, I chose the Buffalo Cauliflower; it was uninspired, simple cauliflower and fire hot coating. The cauliflower was tender, but quite spicy. Then for an entree I chose Sweet Potato with glass noodles and green beans. The flavor was delicious and had interesting complementary textures. The glass noodles were so chewy and elastic that they could not be cut with a knife. If using a fork to twirl them, they stuck together, and the bite became gargantuan very quickly. I would have made a better choice by choosing a number of sides instead. The wild mushrooms were exquisite; earthy, tender and so flavorful. Needless to say, the desserts were amazing. The bread pudding with whiskey sauce is like a loving hug from Grandma, so comforting and light and warm, spectacular, my friends had a birthday ice cream and brandied cherries for the other guest. In a nutshell, the vegan options are not quite as exceptional as other offerings. This will not stop me from returning whenever I possibly can, otherwise a successful and delightful celebration. I do heartily recommend Ken Stewart's Lodge, simply beware of the vegan options.

Four of us enjoyed wonderful cocktails and dinner. The service was excellent and not intrusive. Recommend Flemings with no reservations.
