Constructed in 1833 as a residence and serving later as an inn, the building has been painstakingly renovated to preserve as many of the original materials as possible, including four working fireplaces. Some of the items we ordered were amazing, particularly the tuna tartar! Also excellent were the littleneck clams. The New England clam chowder and the lobster risotto were fine, but lacking. Both needed more creaminess and a slightly stronger flavor, in our opinion. We enjoyed our meal, and our server Alexa was attentive, efficient and pleasant. We may return here, because it was a fine experience, but probably only if were convenient time and location-wise. I'm sure many people would really enjoy this place!

Kittle House has excellent food and service. We ordinarily don't go out to eat on Saturday since we've had some terrible problems with service. We don't have to worry at Kittle House so if we have an early concert or show it is the only local restaurant we would go to.
