Restaurants near Monroe Green

This is one of our favorite restaurants. We drive from New Haven, where there is a lot of great restaurants but Chaplin is worth the extra drive! The food is excellent! Some of our favorites are the polenta fries, the steak, which is always perfectly cooked, the pork belly Mac and cheese, and the fries are amazing! Every dish is full of flavor and you can tell the chef gave thought into preparing a dish that is well rounded. The ambiance is so fun and the outdoor patio is great anytime of year! The staff is excellent, from the hostess to the wait staff, and the bartenders, they are all so friendly and put their best foot forward every day. Another great thing is their playlist that is fun and young with the right amount of energy. We highly recommend it!

First time we went to this restaurant. Their Italian Calamari was amazing (just like when the restaurant was Carl Anthony'). Entrees were good, excellent portion size. Very nice desserts. Waitress was excellent. And they had live music that was very good (albeit a little loud).

We have never been disappointed any time we have spent enjoying Monroe Social's fine service, ambience, warm welcoming as we arrive and, of course, their innovative and varied menu. Great food, wonderful service, lovely atmosphere. It is a wonderful choice for your dining experience.
