- DDavidvipSan Diego •33 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMy wife and I ate dinner at Brenner’s on a Wednesday evening. The place was busy but our reservation was ready on time. Our waiter, Daniel, was superb. knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive and helpful. His suggested appetizer of bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp was absolutely superb. We both ate the short rib with mole and grits, honestly one of the best dishes either of us has eaten in a long time. Wines by the glass were acceptable in quality and price. Clearly we did not eat or drink from the high end of the menu which would have been way over the top in price, but what we chose was fair value. Overall a very good experience.More infoBrenner's on the River WalkPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.7

From the moment we went inside, we were swept away with the music and ambiance and the aroma of things to come. The candied jalapeños on cream cheese and bread are their specialty appetizer. From there, the rolls and specialty drinks arrived and then the table side cutting of our chateaubriands. We were in a quaint private upstairs room and the experience was all around perfection. Perfect for celebrating our 50th with a glass of champagne. We'll be back to enjoy this special steakhouse ...don't miss it.More infoBohanan's Prime Steaks and SeafoodPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.8

It's the best food we've ever had. Wonderful experience. The shrimp paisano is great and the desserts are deliciousMore infoPaesanos - River WalkPrice: Moderate• Italian• Downtown•4.5

Four people looked for the wine that I ordered off the wine list for over 15 minutes and then finally gave up and asked me to order something else. The only thing we ate was the ceviche and it was very goodMore infoOstra at Mokara Hotel & SpaPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Downtown•4.7
