Located just a stone's throw from the Hôtel de Ville and the Marais district, Le Coupe Gorge restaurant, with its antique parquet flooring, dressed stonework and red velvet banquettes, exudes the flavour of old Paris and the pleasures of fine dining. The restaurant was founded in 1895 on rue de la Coutellerie, a street that owes its name to the many active cutlers. Its current name is more recent, no doubt due to the offbeat humour of one of its previous owners! Enjoyed a wonderful evening having discovered this gem. We enjoyed the lamb and chicken taglines- both very flavorful. Service was friendly and efficient - staff checking in to see if we needed anything - never overbearing. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we loved the live jazz - a truly memorable moment. I highly recommend this establishment!

It was our first night in Paris and we had a beautiful dining experience here. The foods tasted and looked Amazing and the staff and chef were friendly! My wife and I ordered the dinner prefix and shared double starters, entrees and desserts, it was wonderful, Merci beaucoup!
