Restaurants near Mall At Newport

Service, food and atmosphere were excellent. Interior is beautiful and old world money reminiscent too.

This restaurant is top notch in every way. We needed to change our reservation time- no problem. Nice oyster menu- we ordered one of each and the descriptions of each were spot on. My Newport Grand cocktail was the smoothest Old Fashioned I have ever tasted. Clam chowder and calamari for apps- the chowder was perfectly balanced in flavors and the calamari had a lightly breaded, crispy coating with tender calamari inside, and not a bit chewy. For dinner I couldn’t decide between the scallops and the salmon- I wanted the scallops but really wanted the accompaniment that came with the salmon. Our server Mary said, “No problem!” and made it happen. Hubby had the Seafood Pasta with a touch of chili lime oil, which gave it a nice little bit of heat. Mary provided excellent service from start to finish- our whole meal was perfectly timed and the support staff that brought the food were equally as friendly and efficient. If we had more than one night in Newport, I would have gone back for more meals. The prices for the our meal were more than reasonable for the excellent quality of what we received. The only downside is that the parking lot in front of the restaurant is a public lot and it cost us $20 to park there for our dinner, which we didn’t expect. But no matter- it was well worth it- just be prepared for that. We also caught a magnificent sunset. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Newport!

So nice to be at a restaurant that knows what it’s doing and delivers on its mission. Quality food and service from start to finish.

We went for our wedding anniversary. The service was amazing. The only complaint I have is that if you are paying that much for food the sides should come with it.

There were very few guests the evening we visited The Reef. This is somewhat the off season in the area, but there were less than five tables being served while we there. Dinner was good. Not spectacular, but good. Given the pricing in the area, there was solid value. The poke appetizer met expectations, but could have benefited from something extra. The Shrimp Scamp met expectations while the Swordfish was acceptable...
