Restaurants near Lord Mayor's Chapel

First time to eat at Cappadocia. Greeted with a smile and warm welcome and quickly shown to our table. Waiters and waitresses were attentive without being intrusive. Our food, from presentation to flavour, was excellent. The meat and shellfish were well cooked and servings generous. We will definately be returning.

A little disappointed as a ‘steak house’ we expected perfect steaks but all four were definitely on the tough side with no garnish. So for 6oz smallish steaks on a large plate it looked lost. The chips and salad came out a little after the steaks so the steaks were getting cold. What you order is what you get steak and chips or steak and Caesar Salad. It was for a birthday treat so the ice cream came with a candle which was a nice touch thank you. The bar/waitress was very kind and helpful though.

We went to River Grille for their jazz brunch, to celebrate my sister's birthday. The meal began with a delicious cocktail. One of our party doesn't drink alcohol, so our helpful waiter, Jermaine, quickly brought a mocktail menu for her. The 3 course brunch was tasty and well balanced. There are several choices for main, including a few without meat, which suited me. The music was enjoyable, without being overwhelming. A very good experience overall.

The place looked a little run down and tired but the bar staff were lovely and the food was excellent and with the 2 for 1 offer amazing value 😊
