In its bright eatery with wooden accents, an open kitchen and exposed brick walls, Orchard City Kitchen serves modern American fare crafted by Michelin-starred chef, Jeffrey Stout.     We went to OCK for a late family lunch just my husband, our toddler and me. The food is tapas style and the restaurant has abundant indoor and outdoor seating options but was still quite busy so I am glad we had reservations. We had requested for indoor seating but the weather was nice so we asked if we could swap for an outdoor table and they were able to accommodate us. Our server was very helpful and made great recommendations regarding quantities to order since it was just small plates. Though the food took a while to come out once they started serving it came out at a brisk pace. My only complaint was our drinks came very late giving us no time to consider a repeat or 2nd drink - which is a shame because they have some great cocktails. We ordered the smashed potatoes, crab tostadas, lamb riblets and Korean bbq chicken. I could eat the smashed potatoes every day and not tire. The tostada was nice too and my husband really enjoyed the Korean bbq chicken ( popcorn chicken) while we all loved the riblets. We got the butterscotch pudding for dessert which was simple, unassuming and a great dessert for a warm afternoon. I would love to return with my friends next time. We really enjoyed our experience!

    We went to a late lunch, early dinner and sat on the patio. The waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the menu and Spanish. Wines (to complement our tapas). The short rib Wellington was so delicious and I’m still dreaming about it. They inject it with yummy gravy and it’s served with potato balls in a sauce. We appreciated that the waitstaff told us about the automatic 18% gratuity they add to the bill so there were no surprises. Definitely going back to try the pork paella.
