- MMicheal & MerynSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoDinner was fantastic! We came to have dinner with my parents (they met here when my father was a server in the early 90’s) as a very early 30th wedding anniversary present to them as I will be living abroad with my husband for a few years and we wanted to celebrate them before we left! It was such a wonderful experience, I grew up always hearing about my parents meeting and how my dad enjoyed working there so this was finally my chance to go with my husband. The food was delicious! I had the Cornish Hen on a bed of mashed potatoes with veggies, my husband and my father had the Prime rib, and my mother had the Stew. Everything was delicious and had good flavor. Highly recommend the Fizzy Lime punch it is truly delicious and refreshing. Also the peanut soup is surprisingly delicious, it really does taste like peanut butter but it’s warm and filling! For dessert we had the snow eggs, the chocolate tart, a slice of pecan pie, and a scoop of coffee ice cream. I highly recommend visiting Kings Arms Tavern as not only was the food delicious but the waitstaff was kind and friendly, they also give you a bit of historical information throughout the meal, and we even had this musician come in and perform for us (a tradition that happened even when my father worked there in the early 90’s). Our server was really sweet and in true Williamsburg fashion, actually went to high school at the same high school my mom went to around the same time and knew some of the same people! It just really made for a fantastic night and a great last fancy meal with my parents before my time away for travel. I cannot recommend the Tavern enough. The food is delicious, the environment is good, the staff are friendly, and to dine in a restaurant as old as the tavern is a really unique experience.More infoKing's Arms TavernPrice: Expensive• American• Colonial Williamsburg•4.6
- KKathyBaton Rouge / Lafayette •6 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe enjoyed the ambiance with music and candle light! The fried fish and chicken were delicious along with the apple pie and truffle. We’re from Louisiana so the food wasn’t seasoned to our taste but it was a true Williamsburg experience. - SScottWashington, D.C. Area •1 review4.0Dined on Aug 17, 2024I’ve been here 3 times while visiting the Newport News area. Each time, the food and the drinks really wow us. Their big pull are the burgers and selection of beer. Every item I’ve eaten has been spectacular. And if you’re not a beer drinker, their cocktails are also out of this world. I highly recommend the Peach Daly. The service is a bit lacking but not to the point where I would tip any less than normal It feels like they’re so focused on the bar that sometimes the customers in seated at tables and booths are forgotten about. Overall, I give the place an A-More infoCraft 60 Taphouse & GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Newport News•3.8
