The Greenhead Hotel was taken over in June 2020 by local proprietor Jordan Dodwell & his partner Anna Pearson. After a complete refurb they opened the doors on the 14th August 2020.Head Chef, Dan, & his young, eager team use the finest ingredients available using local butchers, suppliers and even forage in the nearby woodland.     This must be the King of roast dinners. Everything brought to us was exceptional - including the starters. You won't be disappointed. Fantastic produce, beautifully prepared, large portions, AND reasonably priced. Best eating experience we've had in a long time - possibly ever. Fantastic surroundings and wonderfully attentive staff.

    I really enjoyed Rickerby Retreat and found the food and drink to be of high quality. Burgers and Falafel Wraps we’re key winners here - both very fresh, juicy and delicious. The ambience is very pleasant too and lovely views of the park but can get cooler on the terrace at a night and a little spooky with limited lighting. Service is acceptable - lacks personalisation and took a little while at times but still not terrible. Value was okay too.

    Everything was truly excellent , wonderful. The meal was delicious the steak cooked perfectly and complemented exquisitely with peppers, courgettes, onions, green pesto, flat bread and a smooth glass of room temperature red . I loved every mouthful. Compliments to the chef! We'll be back 😊
