Restaurants near Lauriston Castle

We really enjoyed our visit to the Tollbooth restaurant. The place has a lovely ambiance and the staff were very friendly and also efficient. The food was well cooked and nicely presented.

A great family meal for a birthday celebration, great service by a very polite & helpful young lad - we were all full after starters and mains, but the option of having just a scoop of ice cream or sorbet for £2.50 was the perfect refresher!

Surprisingly quiet for. Fri lunch but we weren’t complaining. The be waiter did brilliantly getting drinks, taking orders, answering the phone and serving food all with a great attitude to customers. Food was very good with a large helping of fish for my wife and a very good burger that lacked a bit of thought or imagination to add to the ‘presentation’ with say some salad or coleslaw rather than just burger and fries on the plate. Cullen skink was awesome though and my wife’s rice pudding desert superb. We’ll definitely be back soon.
