Everything was very good, from food to service. Nice setting. Recommend for a nice special night out.

My new favorite place in Albany! First time here. Cool, lively, young atmosphere. Great service. Really liked the menu options. Cocktails were very good, spicy pimento app, halibut special and homemade pasta all very good. Definitely be back.

Great location, try and get seating outside for the view. Staff was friendly and engaging, food was terrific and a good valuue.

We really enjoyed our meals at Canal Side Inn. The food was excellent! Could not have been better. From interesting and fresh soup and salad choices, to well prepared and presented main courses and desserts, everything was great. The atmosphere is like taking a step back in time, with wood paneling and even a full phone booth outside the bar area. The music, tunes I remembered hearing at my grandparent's house, complemented the environment nicely. Tables were beautifully set and the service pleasant and attentive. The only thing that was a slight negative, and due to the age and location of the space, was a musty smell initially upon entering. A little bit like a grandparent's house, too! :) In no way did that impact the overall experience for us, and we will definitely be back.
