Located on Rue Oudinot, near Le Bon Marché and Rue de Sèvres, the restaurant EPOCA is an ode to the finest Italian recipes. It is a lively place where people speak with their hands, in the spirit of a 1930s Parisian bistro. Denny Imbroisi, the most Italian of Parisian chefs, expertly balances slow-cooked dishes and typical ingredients with his well-known generosity. Architect Emilie Bonaventure envisioned a neo-bistro decor for EPOCA, using noble materials such as black horse marble and Danish bistro chairs. The decor is enhanced by black, white, and gold tones repeated on the walls, along with elegant brass lighting, creating a sophisticated, refined, and welcoming atmosphere.

We were celebrating an anniversary and the team at Le George went out of their way to help us celebrate, especially our lovely server Alexander. We were seated in the best seat in the house at the back corner of the terrace which reminded me of being in an actual Italian Piazza. we chose the tasting menu and they gave us a full 3 hours to enjoy it. They thought of special details like an additional dessert of vanille icecream in a chocolate cup with a candle and a chocolate plaque wishing us Happy annaiversary. The sommelier recommended a wonderful Northern Italian white wine that went well with each course. The food was excellent and went from subltle flavors in the crudo starters to intense flavors in the desserts. The Pistachio Semi freddo was incredible. The Gazpacho with Fresh Buffalo Ricotta was a stand out as well as the Candied Tart Tartine. I especaiily appreciated the Saffron Arancini with the Tuna Tartar. The Veal chop was cooked perfectly. My HUsband really enjoyed the Sea Bass and loved the subtle touch of truffle flavoring. We were so blessed to be given a bottle of the Chef's specail Olive oil which we had admired. The beauty of the Hotel itself and the restaurant with all the Fresh Purple Flowers made this an encanting evening all together which we will never forget.

We had a wonderful dinner at Vendémiaire. The restaurant welcomed us despite being non French speakers. All of the other diners were French. There was an English menú and the wait staff spoke English well. The food was fabulous. It was all delicious, beautifully presented, and the perfect amount. The list of wines by the glass was small, so go ahead and buy a bottle. Our meal was roughly 2.5 hours. We were able to relax and enjoy the experience. The two of us enjoyed a starter of potato churros, entrees of duck breast and sea bream, sides of green salad and green beans, and desserts of crème brûlée and the orange/chocolate finger. We highly recommend the restaurant and will go back.
