The Mai Tai was Fantastic- we don’t drink so we had the Zero version- I’m sure with alcohol it’s even better!! The meal was flavorful, beautifully presented and the meat just melted in your mouth! The real star was Daisy!! What a fantastic representation of all that is Hawaii! She was so welcoming, genuine and caring- the true spirit of making all feel like Ohana- family!! A server can make or break a dining experience- Daisy was a shining example of elevating your experience with her stellar service and going beyond the ordinary!! So, with the fun ambiance, quality of food and stellar service….we are planning another visit there while here vacationing!! It’s really special when you enjoy a place so much…you’re already planning to return again and again!! Give Daisy a big raise- she deserves it- we were So Impressed!! Well Done Daisy & Monkey Pod for a fantastic experience- I highly recommend you try it!!More infoMonkeypod Kitchen - WaikikiPrice: Moderate• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Waikiki•4.6
- EEricHawaii •13 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoBianca (?) was a very gracious waitress. She came outside of the restaurant to greet us and invite us to sit at their outside tables until the restaurant opened, since we were there early for lunch. The hostess continued with the warm welcome when the restaurant actually opened. Though members of our party ran late, Bianca never rushed us or made us feel uncomfortable in any way. The menu had a nice variety. and Biance was very familiar with the items, answering all questions easily and made recommendations suiting everyone's tastes. We (a party of 5) sampled the off menu beet salad (1 with Ono, 1 with steak), the chicken liver mousse, steak tartare, the Bonne mi sandwich and the spaghetti carbonara. Everyone enjoyed their meals, though some had to be boxed and brought home, in order to save room for calamansi cannelloni, raspberry-lychee sorbet and vanilla ice cream. I'd recommend any of the dishes our group tried. The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms. There was a vibrant mood set by the natural lighting, high ceilings, music selection and the customers, which seemed to be. a nice mix of first times like us as well as regulars. Entire staff was very attentive and friendly. We will be coming back. Very glad we finally decided to give this place a try.More infoFêtePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Honolulu•4.8

Not only because of the food, but because it felt like we were at someone's house (with an epic kitchen). Watching the way the food was prepared, the interaction with the Chef and staff and most importantly how the Chef spoke to his kitchen was awesome. Very calming and makes the food taste better. It was a no pressure dining experience and entertaining at the same time. Mahalo Chef for a great dining experience! My cousin was visiting from San Francisco and she was blown away by the Sake on tap.More infoNami KazePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Kalihi-Palama•4.8
