Restaurants near Kress Inn an Ascend Hotel Collection Member

If you are looking for a higher end, dining experience in Green Bay, this is it. The hotel and restaurant have a big city feel in a classy way. The brand old fashions were spectacular. Every food item was excellent from the focaccia-like bread starter with dipping oil to the cheese curds to the main entrées (grass fed filet mignon, pistachio encrusted salmon). The beer cheese soup with slices of brat was a perfect idea, just WAAAAAY too salty. Finished off our dinner with Brandy Alexander’s and grasshoppers; felt like a throwback to the supper clubs of old. And the wait staff was exceptional too. Next time I return, I’ll be sure to have a “pregame drink” at the rooftop bar on the sixth floor… Didn’t discover that until after dinner

Good meal for 11 of us, business dinner meeting - thank you

A small quaint little restaurant.  Good steak options, nice wine list, service was very good. We enjoyed our time there.  loved my blue cheese, wet salad. 

Service was very slow. Waited a long time for anyone to come to our table with water and menus. Waited an incredibly long time for our food to arrive after ordering. But the food was delicious. Portions are on the smaller side, but that was great for us. Large Caesar salad was actually very small. Salmon was perfectly cooked. Quiche was as light as air. Our party of six raved about the food. Deserts were to die for. OMG that cheese cake! Best Crème Brûlée I've ever eaten.

The hostess was horribly rude. We were sitting at the front, as we arrived 10 minutes early, which was before they officially opened. We just sat down on the benches, but she came and told us to wait outside and shut the one set of doors we were by and left the other set open. This was after I tried to make a reservation for 8. They only take 6 on open table, I called to try to get 8 or two tables of 4 and she told me she couldn’t do that, but in a very non-helpful tone. Luckily, we love the cheese curds so a little rudeness by one hostess didn’t ruin our visit & our waitress was kind and phenomenal at her job!
