    La Mar has quickly become our favorite restaurant, particularly for celebrations. The service is always fabulous. This time, with Daniel, who guided us through the menu to a terrific meal. We loved the halibut tail and highly recommend it as the best preparation of halibut we've ever had. Including perfect doneness, an exceptional sauce, and artful boning at the table. The piquant Berenjena Criolla - eggplant, chickpea puree, mango pepper sauce appetizer was also a delight to the palate. We ended with the best chocolate cake you can find anywhere. My only beef: the restaurant's music ALWAYS plays too loudly. Maybe others like this. I wish there were some quieter spots for those who want to be in conversation without struggling to hear each other.
