We are 21 and over and although we love pets, we do not allow them in the restaurant. Reservations are for 90 minutes, with the exception of live music nights where you may reserve a table at 6:30 or later and stay through the band's entire performance. Located next to the “Peoples’ Dock,” the town’s only public ferry landing, it was called the West Side Mercantile. From that time until the present it has had a series of owners and has been several businesses.Run down and in a state of disrepair, the building was bought by Peter Stanley in 1973. After an extensive renovation, the Tides opened its doors to the public on Saturday, June 2, 1973. The Tides has remained in the Stanley family for over 45 years and is now owned by Peter’s eldest son, Dylan.The Tides Tavern offers the greatest house-made food and the finest beverages in the western hemisphere, but only to persons over 21 years of age.
