"This place is very popular for lunch and dinner, and deserves to be just as popular for its weekend brunch! It's located in (but independent from) the St. Paul Hotel on McGill in Old Montreal; my husband and I are staying here, so we went for brunch on this rainy Sunday morning. What a good idea! It's a lovely, open, even elegant space and the service is great. We shared a charcuterie plate (their specialty) as well as indulging in some breakfast items--fried eggs for me, the bagel with smoked salmon and poached eggs for him. Yes, it was a lot of food, but it was so good we ate almost every bite. Eggs were fresh and delicious. Actually, everything was fresh and delicious! The small charcuterie plate is plenty of food for two all by itself, and is beautifully presented and accompanied by fresh and tasty bread and a generous bowl of lovely olive oil. We loved everything on the plate, especially the serrano ham and the foie gras. The surprise favorite were the potatoes accompanying my eggs. I forgot to ask them to leave them off (lots of food!) and I"m so glad I did. Double cooked, soft in the middle, crisp on the outside. Heaven. If I had one complaint, it would be--wait. I have no complaints. Everything was perfect."See more
