Beautifully presented, delicious food in an elegant atmosphere. Impeccable service.

It is a deep narrow establishment, with a bar along one wall and separate dinning rooms (I counted three) and a variety of seating styles. I was seated in a small room with booths on both sides of a passageway off of the wait station. It was a Wednesday night, I had a reservation for two at 6:45 and arrived a little ahead of my guest. I had a brut rose champagne while waiting. It had been years since I had dined there and virtually nothing had changed: White table cloth, black napkins, low but sufficient lighting and a varied menu, not unlike other expensive restaurants. There was little to recommend the "ambiance of this room, but it was quiet and comfortable. We shared the lobster sliders and crab cakes for appetizer. Both were very tasty and sufficient for two, and I had a vodka Gibson. A rare treat as classic cocktails have all but disappeared. My guest had what he described as a very good porter. We were not in a hurry, but because they closed at 9 p.m. I had the 11 oz filet while my guest had the smaller filet. The steaks were superb, aged well and prepared to our order. We shared, easily, 3 sides: corn, potatoes and asparagus. The corn was prepared with meat, very oily, the potatoes were soggy fried in some kind of batter and the asparagus was unseasoned and under grilled. I had an Old Fashioned after, another well crafted cocktail. The total bill was around $265.00, w/out tip. The wait staff was understanding and attentive, as we were the last customers to leave. I will likely return.

We had a fantastic experience at BJ’s Brewhouse in Gainesville! They graciously accommodated our large party during a very busy graduation weekend, and everything went smoothly. All of our orders were correct, and the service was exceptional. Our waitress was attentive, kind, and incredibly accommodating—especially helpful with dietary needs, including gluten-free options. The food was great, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Highly recommend for both small gatherings and large celebrations!
