Restaurants near Hollow Acres Golf Center

The restaurant’s decor was refined and tasteful, with a calm and elegant atmosphere. The food was excellent across the board. The Oyster Rockefeller and dry-aged ribeye were true standouts—honestly better than some of the most upscale restaurants in Chicago. The A5 Wagyu appetizer was solid and did its job as a light starter, though nothing extraordinary. Service was attentive and well-paced, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Glad to have a new top tier restaurant in Lafayette!Definitely a place I’d return to.

Our server Elise (sp) was lovely. Atmosphere good and food yummy. A bit over priced for what it is. Our bill before gratuity was $262 for 3 steaks and 1 shrimp pasta. No salads. But a lot cheaper than some of the places we ate in Vegas so not really complaining about that. Only complaint really would be whatever drink they gave me was awful. It was supposed to be a strawberry lemonade. Neither of those ingredients were in that glass. LOL I made everyone taste it to make sure I wasn't losing my mind. So I stuck with water. But our server was so sweet, I didn't want to say anything negative to her. She was working very hard. And it might have been a bit too dark in there, the guys couldn't read the menus, they had to get out flashlights. :) But I would recommend for a special occasion meal.

Love this second location: great ambiance, food and drinks!

We were from out of town and got there a little late since we had trouble finding the place. The Whistle Stop is very quaint place. The food, service, and environment were great! Next time we will make sure to get there early to experience the museum and look at all of the train exhibits! The prices were very reasonable, and the staff were amazingly hospital.
