Restaurants near Hillsdale College Dow Hotel and Conference Center, A Cobblestone Hotel

We were with our niece who was staying at the hotel on a business trip. We went to dinner with her before my wife and I drove back home to Toledo, Ohio. The food, service and ambiance were excellent. I would recommend this restaurant highly.

Great food. One of the best seared ahi tuna. My wife had the feature for the night. It was equally as good in her opinion. And the service was fantastic. We’ll go back and recommend.

From the greeting we received when we got to the restaurant until the time we walked out, we were treated like we were VIPs! Extremely friendly staff, drinks/food orders were placed promptly, as well as the delivery to our table! This was my husband’s & my third visit (this was our two guests first visit). Everyone loved their drinks & food! All food cooked to perfection! We’ve decided that Nibi will be our restaurant of choice for dinner whenever we go to Firekeepers!!

We visited Veritas for dinner before attending the Drinks & Deception show upstairs. Upon arrival, the restaurant had a moderate crowd, but we quickly noticed that very few tables had food, which raised concerns about timing. It took about 10 minutes before a hostess even arrived to seat the three waiting parties they were at the door, suggesting they might have been understaffed or in the midst of a shift change. Once seated, the wait times for both food and drinks were noticeably long, which made it a bit stressful given our plans for the evening. Despite the delays, Veritas offers a fairly priced menu and a pleasant ambiance. I’d consider returning in the future, hoping they address the staffing and wait-time challenges.
