My daughter and I both had an amazing dinner here. We started with the arancini special for an appetizer which had butternut squash in it - delicious. We both had Tornedos of beef with garlic mashed and also wonderful. Special cheesecake with maple and blueberries finished it off. Service was excellent. Nice atmosphere. I will definitely go back and also try the Chef's other restaurants.

My wife and I feel that Isa Bistro is the best restaurant in Portland, ME. Extraordinary food, simple but interesting. Great service, friendly without being intrusive. Ambience isn't fancy, but very comfortable. The lobster tostada and the eggplant lasagne are incredible. We've been back several times and have never been disappointed.

Overall dining experience for two was perfect! Exceptional service, food and setting. We started with a cocktail (a generous pour), shared the grilled octopus and beet salads - - each was delicious with the perfect balance of flavors. Next we shared a pasta course - - Tortelli which was stuffed with potato and ricotta and served with a light butter sauce with shaved truffles and sage. Although some butter sauces can be cloying, this was defiantly not. For the entree, we shared the rack of lamb which was served with carrots - - also outstanding. Although not needed, we left with a box of cookies to enjoy later and reminisce about our wonderful dining experience. When the little things can matter - - sparkling water was offered w/o charge and the olive oil served with the complementary bread was delicious. We look forward to our return visit.

Matt was knowledgeable, attentive and had great recommendations. He made the night fun for us! Our dishes were perfect. favorites were the kale salad, meatball appetizer, zucca pasta and the chocolate torte. It was a great experience and ambience was 10/10

Burger and fries were amazing. Great spot. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go again
